Taken from some high ground above Mametz Wood showing the location of Mametz Wood and Happy Valley. Robert Graves was here with the 2nd Bn. Royal Welch Fusiliers in July 1916. Graves went into Mametz Wood to bury friends and later to obtain a German Army greatcoat.
