Letter sent to the mother of Private Evan Hawkes after his death. The letter is on Church Army Recreation Hut or Tent headed notepaper, and is signed by Douglas Wood, Chaplain to the 9th Durham Light Infantry in France, the battalion with which Hawkes served. Part of a collection relating to Evan Hawkes.
