57569: Letter informing Elizabeth Moore of her husband's death

Letter sent to Elizabeth Moore breaking the news of the death of her husband, Private James Moore of the 13th East Yorkshire Regiment, on 2nd August 1917, from injuries received a few days earlier, and giving brief information about his burial. The letter is on Church Army Recreation Hut notepaper, and is signed by the Church of England chaplain of the casualty clearing station. Part of a collection relating to James Moore.
