57477: Letter to John 'Jack' Bovey from King George V on his release from a Prisoner of War Camp

My father was a private in the 25th Field Ambulance Division, Wessex Division (no. 487496). He was taken as a Prisoner of War by the Germans whilst manning a medical post on the 27th May 1918: "We had two or three patients there which we couldn't send anywhere, stretcher cases, and we were not going to desert them.
