One of five brothers to serve in the war, the younger sons of Albert Barnard Rayment and Harriet Rayment.
Samuel Thomas Rayment (1896 -1982) was my grandfather. He enlisted in September 1914 with the London Regiment, but was dicharged in February 1915 and later that year joined the Royal Naval Reserve Anti-Aircraft Division. He was stationed on Hampstead Heath and Bacton in Norfolk.
Editor's Comment:
Samuel Rayment here wears Naval uniform. Note the embroidered collar badge: 'R.N.V.R. | A.A.C.'
