Comments on Siegfried Sassoon's wounds and the possibility of seeing a sister of Robert Graves' who is in Boulogne / includes ten lines of a poem later titled 'Letter to S. S. from Bryn-y-pin', included in 'The Patchwork Flag' and written anticipating Sassoon's death / reports of the sudden death from the flu and pneumonia of Nancy Nicholson's mother / comments on the potential for the end of the war and Graves' opinion of American war aims / plans for and concerns about buying and running a dairy farm in Sussex / potential for Sassoon to aid Graves and Nancy financially / alludes to a 'trench poem' written recently by Graves entitled 'The Leveller', included with the letter / comments that two years prior Graves was writing in Mametz Wood. Contains also a letter to Sassoon from Bryn-y-pin on 9th July 1918.
