Photographs of Hugh Towall's grandfather, seated to right with moustache, and standing, first left.

Editor's Comment:
The group photograph on the right must have been taken sometime after January 1918, as Overseas Service chevrons are worn. Blackboard with message: 'Menu | Roast Turkey & Russian Bear | Sweets Mespot Dates | "Y" ? | A Batt Grand Fleet'. Possibly relates to capitulation of the Ottoman Empire, the 'Armistice of Moudros', 30th October 1918.

Bombardier 51922 Hugh Towall, Royal Field Artillery.
