<p dir="ltr">George and Ewart enlisted 4th Battalion East Yorks Regiment (Territorials) 1911-1916. They arrived Ypres 19.4.1915. George wounded 1.5.1915, discharged January 1916. Ewart (D company) killed 3.5.1915 aged 34, unknown grave, Menin Gate Memorial panel 21 and 34. </p> <p>William, 2nd Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment (regular soldier 1909-1916), retreat from Mons, Mons Star (Old Contemptible), draft to 12th Battalion and Corporal 1916, Battle of Oppywood - P.O.W.</p> <p>Richard (18 years 1916) 1/3 Northumberland Field Ambulance - stretcher bearer, 1918 transferred to officers' mess duty till end of war.</p> <p>Frederick trained Beverley (East Yorkshire Depot) served with West Yorks Regiment in Gallipoli 1916, wounded leg, short period pension for malaria.</p> <p>Part of a collection relating to Richard Pindar R.A.M.C. (regimental number 390549) and George Pindar (regimental number 1156) 3/4th Batt. East Yorks regiment.</p>
