Photo of Lascelles - a friend of Charles W. Carr, who served with him in the 2/5th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment. Mrs Porter: my father and his friends joined up on the same day, and unfortunately most were also killed or wounded (like Dad) on the same day.
Part of large collection of photos and memoribilia relating to Serjeant 3091 (later 240965) Charles Woodward Carr, 2/5th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment - kept by Mrs Gill Porter and Mr Tony Carr of their father.
Editor's Comment: Note the unit patches on left sleeve.
Serjeant (later Acting Warrant Officer Class 2) 241073 Albert Edward Lascelles, Gloucestershire Regiment.
