Clara Shortman seated centre row first on the left. Editor's Comment: Wife of Pte. 17482 Thomas James Shortman, 1st Bn. Somerset Light Infantry, killed in action 1st July 1916, aged 44, and buried in Thistle Dump Cemetery, High Wood, Longueval.
