<p dir="ltr">The 7th Manchesters paraded in front of Sir Reginald Wingate, the Sirdar in the Sudan.</p><p dir="ltr">Editor's Comment:<br>A regiment of native cavalry (lancers) from the same parade.</p><p dir="ltr">Pte. 2393 John Clarke Morten, 1/7th Bn. Manchester Regiment, was commissioned Second Lieutenant and later attached to the Royal Air Force.</p>
