<p dir="ltr">This is a silk embroidered pouch that was sent by Pte David Murie, to his mother Fanny Murie, who lived in Bonhill, Dunbartonshire.</p><p dir="ltr"><br>Editor's Comment:<br>Silk with personal message and embroidered Royal Coat of Arms, with caption 'Souvenir from France'.</p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr">Pte. 200257 David Murie, 'B' Bn. Tank Corps, was killed 23rd November 1917 and is commemorated on the Cambrai memorial. He originally served in the Royal Field Artillery (service no. 1093).</p>
