Gordon Forbes was my great uncle. He served in the First World War as a gunner in the Royal Garrison Artillery. He died of wounds in France on 27/09/1918, aged 28. He is buried at Sainte Marie Cemetery, Le Havre, France. His story was only found because of tracing family history. No one spoke about him.
