This is an extract from a photocopy of a letter from Dr W.R. Blore M.C. RAMC sent on 3rd October 1915, from Suvla Bay, Gallipoli. It records Blore's scathing opinion of the reports sent to the newspapers by the Times correspondent A. Bartlett - in particular of the battle there on August 21 1915. This battle would not have been referred to in detail in any of the letters, but in his notebooks Blore recorded the details of his work.
Also part of this collection are a couple of Bartlett's newspaper articles, all Blore's letters home, his notebooks from his service as a doctor at Suvla Bay, Gallipoli, and on the Western Front - as well as his sleeping bag and many other artefacts.
