53908: Official notification of "Killed in Action", sent to Leonard Green's parents

This official report of Pte Green's death in action is dated 18th September and included the stanard message of sympathy from the King.

Editor's Comment: Pte. 316448 Leonard E. Green, 1/5th Bn. Northumberland Fusiliers, was reported Missing in Action on 23rd March 1918 and officially declared dead, twice, before his status as a Prisoner of War was confirmed.
