<p dir="ltr">This is a copy of a postcard my Grandfather, Arthur Edward Godfrey, Private, 235069, serving with the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, gave to my mother.</p><p dir="ltr">Editors Comment: <br>Photograph of a QF 4.7" gun: originally a naval weapon, it is here mounted on a Mk I 'Woolwich' carriage for land service, a stop-gap measure before the widespread availability of purpose built heavy artillery.
