The note has a piece of paper with it saying that it was issued In the desert in the First World War, but no further information. It could be the Sudan 1914/15 or Sinai 1916.
Editor's Comment:
Ten Shilling Note, over-stamped with Arabic script.
Pte. 2393 John Clarke Morten, 1/7th Bn. Manchester Regiment, was commissioned Second Lieutenant and later attached to the Royal Air Force.
