Requests Edward Marsh's opinion on four new verses / requests return of other verses sent previously / desire to begin working now that Robert Graves' is convalescing / thanks for recent visit / unlikelihood of being released to Wales before September / states that he is recovering well. Included with letter the poems 'To S. S. Who Mourned Me Dead', dated 9 August; 'The Bough of Nonsense', dated 13 August; 'Salt and Shaft', dated 14 August; and 'The Savage Story of Cardonelle', dated 14 August.
