Editor's Comment:
Photograph of Osborne Pigrome waering the cap badge of the 5th (City of London) Bn. Territorial Force (London Rifle Brigade). Note the cloth title on upper left sleeve, detailing his unit. The London Rifle Brigade were in or around Ipswich from June 1915 to July 1916. Before and after the war, he was a regular weekend watercolour painter. According to family stories, Osborne never spoke about the Great War. He never married and lived quietly with two elder sisters and a niece. Born 4th February 1880, died 26th April 1963.
