Typescript. This manuscript is untitled but is labeled 'October' in 'Edward Thomas Collected Poems'. This was the first poem written after Edward Thomas' first week as a soldier. His training was mainly in London, where he was billeted with his parents, with his musketry practice at High Beech, Essex.
