online resource
posted on 2024-01-18, 10:42 authored by Lest We Forget Project Team

William John Chalmers was my uncle (my mother's brother). He joined the Machine Gun Corps with service number 115455. In his soldier's will he leaves everything to his sister, Lily Ann Jeans or Chalmers. I have a photograph of Transport, 9TH BTN M.G.C., D. COY, which includes him. I also have a photograph of him back in service in the Second World War, believed taken whilst he was overseas.
