The last page of the diary kept by Edward Thomas over his last three months as a soldier. The diary was in the possession of Thomas' son Merfyn Thomas (1900-1965) until his death, and was rediscovered by his son Edward Thomas in 1970. The manuscript is untitled but is labeled 'The sorrow of true love' in 'Edward Thomas Collected Poems'. Date inscribed in Helen Thomas' hand.
