Godfrey was killed in action, 17th February 1917, and is buried in plot IX, row A, grave 2, Regina Trench Cemetery near Albert on the Somme. </p><p> Editors Comment: From Commonwealth War Graves Commission records: Sgt. H D Godfrey, 51841, 11th Bn. Royal Fusiliers, age 21, was the son of Mrs. Martha W. Godfrey, of 59, Lime Walk, Highfield, Oxford.</p>
