52501: God

online resource
posted on 2024-05-02, 18:52 authored by First World War Poetry Digital Archive Project Team

Contains ink and pencil corrections. There is a double typed line at the bottom of page 1 suggesting that Isaac Rosenberg originally intended that the poem end there; in the play 'Moses' it ends after line 15. The pencil annotations at bottom right corner are in Gordon Bottomley's hand.

On page two the line at bottom of page one suggests that Rosenberg originally intended to end the poem after line 18; in the play 'Moses' the poem ends after line 15. Although generally consistent with page 1 with regard to ink and paper, page 2 is torn and stained. |
