Date unknown, portrait of my grandmother's younger brother Bert (Hubert Edgar Comley, b 15 July 1899) He died in France on 11 Jan 1918.

My grandmother Gwendoline Lobb (nee Comley) was born on 11 November 1891 and died on 30 July 1981. She also had an older sister, Elsie.

Editor's Comment: Rifleman 50903 Hubert E. Comley, 2nd/5th Bn. The King's (Liverpool Regiment), died 11th January 1918, aged 19. The son of James and Caroline Smythe Comley, of 21, Carlton Rd., Birkenhead, and born at Hereford, he is buried in Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres.
