Pencil draft, numbered '2' by Isaac Rosenberg. Contains 4 unused lines, 20-25, one unused line, 26-29. The corrections in red crayon and pencil are by Gordon Bottomley. Isaac Rosenberg was transferred to the 40th Division Works Battalion in January 1917, meaning that part of his responsibility was taking wire up to the line at night.
