Lance Sergeant Walter Vitty (b. 10/1/1893) enlisted on 14/2/1915. He was originally a Bradford Pal but transferred to the Green Howards believed to be because he had upset the ranks. He was a bandsman and served in India. In civilian life he was a violinist and gave violin lessons. He also played the piano.
