Cyril's glove was shrunken where it was exposed to nerve gas, as the chemicals made it shrink. The glove was later recovered from the battlefield. It is now approximately 12cm long.

The button marks it as having been manufactured by Dent's of Warminster, one of Britain's oldest manufacturers of leather goods. Dent's specialise in high-end goods, so this would have been a very high-quality product probably owned by an officer.
