Richard Walker of Manchester (b. 15/2/1893) was a gardener before signing up to the Manchester Regiment (108966). Though records show he was in Sherwood Forresters (295026) at some point. On 24/4/1918 he was reported missing. In July information came through to say that he was wounded.

Elizabeth Walker (nee McCormick) worked in a munitions factory (see photo where she is 2nd left on the back row).

Elizabeth’s brother William McCormick (1893 – 12/10/1933) was believed to have been gassed during the war.

William H K Edmonds was from Manchester and was a professional footballer. He’s left front in the photo. He was possibly in the RAF in Aug 1918.
