Lawrence served from 1916. He was a private no 25560 in 2nd/6th East Yorks Regiment. His occupation was a postman (letter carrier). He was born in 1897 in Bradford. He served overseas in Salonika, Greece. He contracted malaria in 1918 and was invalided out. He was hospitalised and demobbed in 1919.
