Framed photo of the owner's grandfather, Martin Quinn, R.E. Service No. 606234, 1874-1956. He enlisted in 1897 and was a career soldier. Martin was injured at the Somme, participated in other battles, also serving with the R.A., R.A.F. after that war, and with the Irish Fusiliers.

There are also 3 medals, two awarded while serving and one presented by the Lord Provost of Edinburgh on returning after the war.
