Sir Arthur Stewart-Liberty, a major landowner in the parish of The Lee, Bucks, had a close business connection through his Regent Street retail business with Moorcroft pottery. After the war and Sir Arthur's death in 1917, Lady Liberty commissioned the manufacture of special commemorative mugs. These were signed by Lady Liberty and given to members of The Lee parish.
