Albert Edward Reynolds was not of age but when he finally went to war he died two days later in the second battle of the Somme, 1918. He fought with the Australians but in the attached photo he is in an English uniform.

The item is a memorial scroll that came with the death penny. The photograph was taken in a studio with props and a painted background. The Australians bought the land where he died so that no one else could have it.
