About the picture(s)

In some respects, lockdown has been regressive. Like many students, I returned to my family home and studied from my childhood bedroom. While at times this was constraining, like many I enjoyed the primitive sense of going back to the basics: cooking, gardening, and walking in nature. As an individual I felt powerless in face of a pandemic, but there was something reassuring about growing your own food and cooking, as our grandparents and great-grandparents have always done.
