<p dir="ltr">My great-grandad's shell case given as a pair to my Nana. My great-grandad's name was William Ambrose Martin, my Nana, Beryl Ivy Smith (née Martin). William brought back a pair of shell cases (from a WW1 battlefield) and soldered his Royal Artillery cap badge onto one, and found another to put on its twin. The cases have sat on the family hearth ever since. They are now with my father and uncle.</p>
