2701: Stanley Ward

Stanley Ward was a Submariner and Bomb Disposal Operator in the 2nd World War after being recalled due to his service in the 1st World War.

His sister, Evelyn Ward, of Ward Bakery London, exchanged Postcards with him during the war. In the wedding photo he is in the Submarine Service and he served on HMS Vanguard, HMS Ganges,HMS Caesar in 1910, HMS Natal in 1911 and HMS Arrogant in 1915 as an able rate.

He was mentioned in dispatches for defusing German Torpedoes. He married Louie in 1917.
