Albert Raynor Inglehearn tried to join the Bradford Pals in 1914 but was refused. He later joined the Pay Corps in York. He was stationed in Rouen, France where he met his wife. She was French and called Germaine (Mimi). They lived in Rouen after the war and had a son who was born there. In 1924 they moved to Bradford.
