2345: Harry Thompson, King's Own Rifle Regiment

online resource

The subject, Harry Thompson, is the great uncle of Melissa Dennison. He was born in 1893 and died on the Somme sometime around 10th September, 1916. He lived at 72, Ryan Street, West Bowling, Bradford, and enlisted in the Kings Own Rifle Regiment at the age of 24. The Arras Rifle Pin may not relate to Harry as he had already passed away. It has, however, always been in the family but it has not been researched. Harry had a brother called Arthur who also served in the army. The book of poems came down through my grandmother's line.
