<p dir="ltr">Alice was from Sheffield and married Thomas Hollingworth after he was honourably discharged from service due to disability. </p><p dir="ltr">Alice kept a housekeeping notebook, and although this dates to 1919 would have been typical of the information used by housewives during the war. Alice's handwriting is notably neat.</p>
