2057: Pte R Johnston (Medal & Photograph)

He was born 5 Feb 1896 in Kirk Street, Bolton, enlisted in Preston and survived the war and died aged 91 in November 1987. He lived at 58 Pleasant Street Bolton. His Victory Medal is mistakenly engraved 'Johnson' rather than Johnston.
