The submitted item is a painting of Lucheux, France by an artist that lived close to Fleet. The painting is dated 22/8/1917 (on the reverse) and it was purchased by the contributor at a charity sale of the artist's work in the Church Hall, King's Road, Fleet around twenty years ago (1998).

Though it is hard to make out, it looks like the artist's name was W. Champion/s. The contributor did not know anything else about the artist or the painting.
