Story: Six brothers from the McCully family, all of whom served in the war. Of the 6 brothers, 2 were killed during WW1. William James Holly McCully was buried at sea following fatal injuries sustained in the Dardanelles. Frederick McCully was killed in action in Peronne, France and he is buried in a Commonwealth war grave nearby. Sydney Carlisle McCully (grandfather of contributor) was wounded and shipped home but survived and was the last remaining brother to pass away in 1981.
