Michael Tulley's father, Alfred Alexandra (Alex) Tulley, was in the Battle at Hill 60. Queen Victoria Rifles (he was injured by shrapnel in the buttocks). Was one of 14 out of 140 who survived. The image from the Illustrated London News shows the event of battle. The objects all belonged to his father, medals and ribbons. He loved the horses and wept when they died. The frame was made by a German POW when Alex was stationed there in France after the war (Toulouse). The Trench art was also made in the POW camp.
