The person in the photograph is John Milton's Great Uncle. His name is Albert Samuel Gould from Plymouth. The photograph was taken in Brisbane Australia. Not sure why he was in Australia as no one in the family talked about war. He was in the 44th Battalion Australian Infantry (5562) Brother of Fredrick Gould (founder of the Gould's Army Surplus Store in Plymouth) He died in 1961 and is buried in Ford Park cemetery
