10137: Bristol Roll of Honour

The contributor brought in a Roll of Honour for the men who died who came from the Bristol and County Corporation. It had been found in the attic of a house in Johnson's Road, Whitehall. There was also a letter from the King found at the same time.

These two items were found in the loft in 17 Johnson's Road, Whitehall, Bristol. The first is a letter from King George V, addressed to the Officers, Non Commissioned Officers and men of the Guards Division, and is dated 22nd March 1919.

The second is a Roll of Honour for the City and County of Bristol showing the Corporation Employees who served in HM Forces 1914-1918.

It is not known to whom both of these items originally belonged. They are now part of the contributor's private collection.
