Working on this story, I found myself in an unexpected journey, bringing to light latent concerns and giving narrative shape to disparate ideas. I loved the making process, but once completed I love that the story stands on its own, open for engagement.

Alina Botezatu is a postgraduate researcher based at the University of Stirling, working at the intersection of critical heritage and museum studies. Her PhD project is focused on the Trinity House of Leith and is developed in collaboration with Historic Environment Scotland.

This story was made at a workshop at the University of Oxford in April 2025, produced by Dr Katherine Collins and Dr Joanna Wheeler. The research was funded by the Wellcome Trust, via a British Academy Small Grant SRG24/240086. With special thanks to Evie Worthington for technical advice, and to all participants for their support.
