Samaria Gorge. A spur between the main gorge and a side-gorge is covered with the abandoned cultivation terraces of the village of Samaria below (1.25). A kalderimi (constructed mule-track) zigzags up to a small Turkish fort on the ridge-top (1.21). April 1989.
