Ashmolean Museum inventory no. AN1886.443&444. Iron, brass. Early 11th century. Two stirrup-irons inlaid with brass wire scrollwork and rectangular panels with vertical strips. The foot-plate is missing from the larger of the two stirrups. Anglo-Scandinavian design. Recovered from the Cherwell near Magdalen Bridge, Oxford in 1886.
