Italian pianist, composer, music critic, and, in later life, professor at the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra in Rome. His article 'The Tenor Voice in Europe' (Music and Letters 11, no. 4 [1930]: 318-24), credits his appreciation of tenor John Sullivan to JJ.
