Edgardo Carducci

Italian pianist, composer, music critic, and, in later life, professor at the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra in Rome. His article 'The Tenor Voice in Europe' (Music and Letters 11, no. 4 [1930]: 318-24), credits his appreciation of tenor John Sullivan to JJ. Carducci contributed his musical setting of JJ's poem "Alone" to The Joyce Book. He and Joyce became friends in the 1930s. William Brockman
