Baroness St Leger

Born Antoinette Beyer, a daughter of Tsar Alexander II of Russia. With her husband, count Richard Fleming de St Leger, acquired the Brissago Islands in Lago Maggiore in 1885 and continued living there after the departure of her husband in 1897. JJ encountered her during a visit with Frank Budgen to Locarno in May 1919. JJ accepted from her a trunk of erotic books and letters, which he intended to use in the writing of "Circe".
